Tutoring For Parents Who Need Math Questions Answered

In addition to my normal tutoring sessions for students (currently in-person, FaceTime, Zoom, or phone), I offer math tutoring sessions for PARENTS (whether of public-schoolers, private-schoolers, or home-schoolers) need some help being able to answer their children’s math questions.

This tutoring is meant to answer your own questions, in order to help you help your children. The session can be short — e.g., you just want to ask a few questions on a math video you’ve watched, or you have questions on how to help your child with a topic you almost remember; or the session can be longer, a full lesson on a math topic you’ve completely forgotten or never really knew.  The topics we go over can be from any level math, between third grade through AP Calculus.

I’m offering these sessions as pay-what-you-want. If you know a parent who needs some help, please send this information along if they need a little math support for their children.

Additionally, there are many wonderful free online resources for parents and students. My favorite, absolutely, is Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org), which has outstanding videos on a wide variety of topics. And there are some FANTASTIC youtube videos by a variety of wonderful teachers on any math topic you can think of. Plus Kuta Software (www.kutasoftware.com) is a wonderful resource for all different levels, offering free math worksheets you can print (all with answer keys!).

If you’d like to contact me, please feel free to email me at lindasgottlieb@yahoo.com. Please put the word “tutoring” somewhere in the subject.
